Dance music pioneers Jacques Fred Petrus and Mauro Malavasi were easily the most successful Italian production team. They will be remembered for their exquisite post-disco dance funk and R&B. Many of the concepts they instigated were fusions of Italian and U.S. studio musicians paired with NYC-based session vocalists.
